the 2026 Zhejiang Province "Dreaming in Zhejiang, Singing for the Future" Chinese Song Competition for International Students concluded successfully. Our university's international student KARSHYGAYEVA AIYM (Youmei) stood out among over 190 contestants across the province with her exquisite interpretation and heartfelt performance of the classic song "Xin You Du Zhong," advancing to the finals and ultimately winning the provincial second prize, demonstrating solid Chinese language proficiency and outstanding artistic talent.
It is reported that this competition was jointly organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Information Office, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government Foreign Affairs Office, and the Zhejiang Provincial Radio and Television Group. Using music as a bridge, the competition vividly showcased the unique charm of China's music and effectively enhanced international students' understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. The event attracted over 190 teams from institutions across the province, including Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Media and Communications, and Zhejiang International Studies University, featuring broad participation and high competitive standards.
This award fully demonstrates the excellent Chinese proficiency and artistic literacy of our university's international students,as well as their sincere passion and profound understanding of China's culture and musical arts.
