On July 24th, Jin Meilan, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office) and Dean of the International School, led a team to conduct research and learning at the International Office and School of International Exchange of Ningbo University. Members of the team and relevant department heads participated in the research. Both sides discussed topics such as top-level design for internationalization of universities, Sino foreign cooperative education, management of international students, management of Confucius Institutes, and student exchanges abroad.
At the symposium, Zhou Xunying, Director of the International Department and Dean of the School of International Exchange at Ningbo University, first introduced the basic situation of the school's international development, the setting of departments in the International Department, and some practices of Ningbo University in international exchange and cooperation. The focus was on the application and management of Sino foreign cooperative education projects, innovative models for international student enrollment and training, the construction of Confucius Institutes, and measures to promote international cooperation.
Jin Meilan expressed her gratitude for the warm reception from the International Office and the School of International Exchange of Ningbo University, and pointed out that Ningbo University has accumulated rich experience in the field of internationalization, especially in Sino foreign cooperative education and international student management. Hu Normal University has always been committed to improving its international education level, accumulating some experience in Sino foreign cooperative education and other areas, but also facing many difficulties and challenges. I hope both sides can strengthen communication and share development experience. In addition, the two sides also had a brief exchange on topics such as the internationalization development plan and trends of universities, and the construction of international teams.
This visit and research have provided a good platform for international exchanges between the two schools, which will help both sides achieve complementary advantages and jointly improve their internationalization level. It also provides valuable reference ideas for the further development of our school's education internationalization work.
