On April 26th, the 2025 New Sinology Plan Economic Management Workshop and the First Beijing International
Graduate Academic Forum on Management, hosted by the Chinese Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center
of the Ministry of Education and Beijing Normal University, successfully concluded in Beijing. Winnifred
Nassag Mwinvit, a Ghanaian graduate student majoring in International Business in the School of Economics and
Management of our university, stood out from over a hundred academic achievements nationwide with his paper
An assessment of the impact of China's higher education enrollment expansion policy on the labor market.
She won the Best Excellent Paper Award and was invited to give a keynote speech at the Economic and Social
Sub Forum. Associate Professor Yan Yong led the team to fully participate in the forum exchange.
This forum brought together international graduate students from well-known domestic universities such as
Peking University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, and Xiamen University to engage in academic
dialogue on topics such as global economic governance, digital economy, and education policies.
WinniFred systematically analyzed the impact of China's higher education expansion policy on labor supply
structure, employment quality, and regional economic coordinated development in his report. Her research
methods and innovative perspectives were highly praised by Associate Professor Zhu Min from the School of
Economics and Business Administration at Beijing Normal University: The paper approaches localization issues
from a transnational perspective, with detailed data and rigorous logic, providing important references for
policy optimization. This award marks the first time that our school's School of Economics and Management's
international graduate education has entered a national academic platform and achieved breakthrough results,
demonstrating the significant achievements of the School of Economics and Management in cultivating
international talents under the background of new liberal arts construction.
In recent years, the School of Economics and Management has continued to deepen the interdisciplinary
training model of International Business+, promoting deep collaboration between international graduate
students and Chinese teachers and students through mechanisms such as mentorship teams and academic
workshops. WinniFred's paper was not only selected for this forum, but also recommended for review by the
America Economic Review. Chen Jingquan, Executive Dean of the School of Economics and Management, said,

It is reported that a total of 13 excellent papers were selected for this forum, and the other winners were all from Double First Class universities. As the only local normal university selected, our school's international graduate education quality has been widely recognized by the academic community. The achievement of this honor is not only a vivid practice of our School of Economics and Management in serving the the Belt and Road education cooperation action, but also a new impetus for the follow-up deepening of international academic exchanges and the cultivation of high-level composite talents.
