The Confucius Institude of Azerbaijan Language University held the acrobatic art seminar about “the acrobatic art in the culture of ancient Silk Road countries” on December 13 as well as at the 70 years of the National Circus in Azerbaijan.
The foreign president of The Confucius Institude, Abbasov introduced the relevant situations about Chinese acrobatic art, and eleborated on its artistic uniqueness and intensionality. He focused on the situations ofChina’s acrobatic troupe’s tour in Azerbaijan. Moreover, he especially presented that taking the visit of the leader of Azerbaijan to China as an opportunity, the sustainable development of cultural cooperation between China and Azerbaijan set the stage for the great prosperity of cultures in ancient Silk Road countries in recent years.

Azerbaijan Academy of Architecture and Art Institute researcher Ma Medoff introduced the history and prospect of the country’s national circus arts, as well as traditional national acrobatic art genre.

In the following exchange session, students of Chinese Studies Major expressed their understanding and affection for Chinese acrobatics, and shared Chinese acrobatic historical stage of development, excellent acrobatic skills of Chinese acrobatic performers, and the influence of Chinese acrobatics on the national culture of Asia and Europe, etc. Finally, they watched a movie called Acrobatics- My Life about the history of the Azerbaijan acrobatics.
